Nashira is a Ruben Monteiro project, multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and founder of Albaluna bands (Folk / Medieval / World Music) and Dorahoag (Mediterranean / World Music). In recent years the musician has been dedicated to the study of stringed instruments from various countries of the Mediterranean and Central Asia.

 

Ruben Monteiro focuses his compositions in modal music following some of the canons of traditional music from Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece, Afghanistan and India.

 

The musician has about 12 published albums with various groups, having performed throughout Portugal and outside, for example in Spain, France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Lithuania, Estonia, India and Malaysia. Bio in: www.rubenmonteiro.pt

 

In Nashira Ruben M. merges elements of electronic music with modal music, aiming to explore new ways and new soundscapes.

Live are used samplers, composed and produced by the musician, on which develop melodies and improvisations with various instruments, such as the Afghan Rubab, the Saz Baglama from Turkey, the Indian Sitar, the Iberian Hurdy Gurdy and even the electric Guitar .

 

Nashira can be presented solo, in duo or trio by the proposed scenario in bars, sunset's, clubs, venues, hotels, spas, casinos, among others.
